Volunteer
Current Team
TEDxPhoenix is a not-for-profit event and is made possible through the generous contribution of time and energy by unpaid volunteers. Listed below are members of our current volunteer team.
Tomas Carrillo / Licensee and Co-Organizer

Small-town Arizona native and recovering blogger who loves Kickstarter, Kiva, his MacBook Pro, and all things TED and TEDx. When not breaking things at Humana RightSourceRx, Tomas is working on TEDxPhoenix and occasionally geeking out on the Science Channel.
Wardah Jamil / Co-Organizer in Crime

Wardah is an engineer, geek and global citizen. When not attending or working on TEDx events, she enjoys exploring new music, perfecting her roti canai recipe, and scorpion hunting with her dog and cat.
Safwat Saleem / Designer Extraordinaire

Safwat is a graphic designer, artist and filmmaker based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Susan Rubin / Planning Maven

Susan has been a volunteer since the first TEDxPhoenix in 2009. In the TED spirit of ideas worth spreading, she shares these words from Antoine de Saint-Exupery: "If you want to build a ship don't herd people together to collect wood, teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." She hopes TEDx inspires you on your own journey.
Francois Besnier / Tech Guru

Aerospace engineer and consultant, Francois Besnier is a sponsor and volunteer of TEDxPhoenix since 2010. He is an avid participant and does not miss any TEDx events in the valley.
Adnan Alam / Web Ninja

Adnan Alam is a web developer. He lives in Phoenix, AZ with his cat, dog and bear.
Tanya Moushi / Social Butterfly

Tanya is a small business enthusiast and has over six years of marketing experience. She has a Bachelor's in Global Business and is pursuing a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies at ASU. She blogs at TWIGBIG.com spreading good ideas and positive thinking, and in her spare time digitally composes short film scores.
Mark Jamnik / Master Acquisitionist

Mark began his advertising sales career 11 years ago by representing various television stations (ESPN, TBS and Discovery). Beginning in 2011, he left his job to co-create a company called Life Balance Workshops. Mark's daily ritual includes a TED talk over breakfast, for inspiration to apply throughout his day.
Ray DelMuro / Master of Ceremonies

Ray owns Refresh Glass, a Phoenix based business that collects empty wine bottles from local restaurants and hotels, who would have otherwise thrown them away, then transforms them into glassware. His hope is to combine his passions for engineering and art with great causes and entrepreneurship.
Extended Team
Tyler Rives / Volunteer

Tyler is an Arizona native and finance professional with a passion for tech, stand-up and TED. Obsessed with stand-up comedy, he is a part time blogger at The Comedy Analyst. He is also an avid tea drinker, gamer and plays golf, but none of these are as big of passions as TED!
Tiffany Duening / Web Developer

Tiffany moved to Phoenix in 2005 and loves the vibrant community. She has been obsessed with watching TED talks in her free time since its inception and is so happy to be able to help out with TEDxPhoenix. Tiffany works at Meltmedia in Tempe where she does front-end web development and copywriting. In her spare time, she likes to read books, clean her apartment (yup), and go rock climbing.
